IMMERSIVE AUDIO TRAINING

Back by popular demand, we are running a second iteration of our 'Introduction to Immersive Audio' short course on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th February 2025.

Curious to learn more about immersive audio to advance your creative practice and offering to clients?

Gain practical hands-on experience capturing immersive audio binaural field recordings and develop expertise on how to edit and mix immersive ambisonic audio in a friendly learning environment.

FUNDED SOUND ARTIST RESIDENCY

A fantastic MyWorld-funded £20k Community Music and Sound Fellowship. 

An opportunity to spend 10 months in residence with Old Printworks Arts, Radstock and Bath Spa University’s innovation hub The Studio. This is a practical Fellowship with a focus on community engagement and retention through music and sound technologies.

So excited to announce a new funded Immersive Audio Network Sound Artist residency. It will take place in Bath.

Starting on 6th February 2025, the resident will gain five days access to our Mobile Immersive Audio Lab for research and development of a project, a £1500 stipend and additional funds towards exhibiting the project's final piece.

Fellowship in Residence at Bauer Media 
An opportunity to spend ten months working with Bauer Media to explore what the future of a media business centred on audio content, such as radio and podcasts might be in the light of new consumer technologies for listeners and associated behaviour changes. 
£20k for ten months at 2.5 days/week based at the Pervasive Media Studio

Collaborative R&D 2 call 
Competition to support business-focused research and innovation in the creative industries in the West of England. Led by industry in collaboration with an academic partner, the CR&D open call is open to addressing the challenges facing creative industries. 
Grant funding of £100-200k to undertake a Collaborative R&D project, lasting between 12 - 18 months, led by Digital Catapult

More than AI: Sandbox 2
SMEs, artists, designers, technologists and creative practitioners are invited to experiment creatively and propose new distinctive ideas responding to the theme of 'More than AI', recognising it as one of many diverse intelligences in our world. This Call is part of MyWorld's IDEAS programme.

Immersive Audio Network: Sound Artist Residency

To help kickstart activity of our newly-launched Immersive Audio Network, we created an exciting Sound Artist Residency opportunity (with a value of £5000). 

This residency is supported by Bath Spa University’s Narrative & Emerging Technology Lab (NET) and the Centre for Cultural and Creative Industries (CCCI) and is funded by the Bristol+Bath Creative R+D Partnership.
